CAMPUS SELECTION

No flying training institute anywhere in the world offers hundred percent placement guarantee for one simple reason that every CPL holder does not automatically become an airline pilot. It must be understood that flying a modern generation sophisticated aircraft costing more than Rs.500 Crores and carrying approximately 200 passengers is a very complex operation and requires a very developed personality built around sound professional knowledge. Just by flying for 200 hours and clearing DGCA Examinations one does not automatically acquire those characteristics.
All the airlines who recruit pilots all over the world have a very defined procedures for the same and have by and large evolved standardized selection and recruitment procedures which may include up to seven stages covering: screening, written test for professional knowledge, psychometric evaluation, simulator, interview and medical examinations. All these aspects require preparation at a different level from learning the basic CPL programme.
Job of an airline pilot requires very consistent performance, capability of sustained hard work and willingness to keep himself/herself updated with the latest in the field of aviation.
Any person aspiring to become an airline pilot must give it a thought that actually he/she is keen to join the profession which is extremely demanding. Persons not having the basic qualities mentioned above are very unlikely to get a job in an airline and they constitute the bulk of the unemployed pilots. Capable, hard working and disciplined individuals who undertake structured learning programme are bound to get an airline job.
